Back in the late 70's, listening to Donna Summer and the Steve Miller Band, a young Judith Martin and a handsome Richard Feldman met, wooed and married in the summer of 1979. One year later, their daughter was born, supposedly "singing" right out of the womb. They named her Lauran Taylor. Adored by her parents, they encouraged Little Lauran's creative spirit. It all began in a small Maryland town, with Lauran memorizing songs and Shel Silverstein poems at home, and it turned into an all out performance showcase as soon as she got in front of anyone. And I do mean anyone. She would perform for friends and family, yes, but also strangers, manicurists, teachers... ANYONE. Judith and Richard thought perhaps little Lauran needed to be around other creative kiddies. So, at the age of 10, they sent her off to sleep away camp in Pennsylvania. It was amazing. She was certainly in her element. The talent of the other kids, ranging from the ages of 8 to 18, was astounding. It really inspired Lauran. She was constantly striving to excel at her craft and grow as an artist. Although, at the time, she just thought it was "super cool" and wanted to perform as much as she could.

As Lauran got older, a nickname developed. She quickly became Lowe amongst family and friends. She participated in as much theatre as she could. She not only began to learn the ins and outs of performing, but developed a strong professionalism. To this day, this is something she considers vital in the industry. She adored being on stage. She loved meeting new people, working on new stages and, most importantly, creating characters. Even as a teenager, she would do extensive research and write character bios to evenly round out her characters. Her senior year of high school, she was voted "Most Talented" by her peers. Very fancy.

She then attended Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland where she studied theatre and music. Her professors were knowledgeable, professional and inspiring. They taught her a great deal in her short time there and she adored the experience.

In 2001, Lowe had already participated in more than 30 theatrical productions. Although she was always learning, she longed for a new challenge. And where was that challenge for her? Hollywood. She wanted to discover if she would be as passionate for work in front of the camera as she was for work on the stage. So, she packed up her car and drove across the country.

Since moving to Los Angeles, Lowe has been fortunate to work and learn as a relative newcomer to the industry. She has had the opportunity to work with and learn from many very talented and professional people and she feels blessed.

Lowe now permanently resides in Los Angeles, enjoying a nice balance of work in film, television, commercials and, of course, her true love, the stage.

Lowe is a proud member of the Actors Equity Association and SAG.
